I always wanted to go and see Spreepark, at least now there is a movie about it!

At Spreepark, an abandoned amusement park located at Plänterwald. It’s an eery, fascinating place, filled with derelict remnants of a by-gone era, an amazing playground for any photographer or urban explorer. Technically, it’s illegal to wander around in the park and I highly recommend not to climb over that fence - at least not at daylight. The owner still lives there in a trailer and has a watchdog - a fucking scary creature. Yes, we were chased by that monster of a dog and I believe that I’ve never run so fast in my entire life. The adrenaline rush will last me for the rest of the month.
Edit:: If you live in Germany, you might also want to catch Achterbahn, a documentary about the owner, Norbert Witte and his family. (Witte went bankrupt, he moved to Peru with some of his fairground rides, got into drug trafficking with the Peruvian mafia, he returned to Berlin, but his son was sentenced to twenty years in prison). The film is in cinemas now.

Achterbahn is an amazing (!) movie! It is such a great piece of well documented history. We’ve seen it last tuesday at the Bar25 Open Air Kino Circus and i totally enjoyed it! If you guys get a chance to watch it - do it :)
